I am the mom of two kids with a big family so I am use to chaos and can deal with whatever you can dish out during a session! I am passionate about photography and capturing the moments in your life that you never want to forget.
I love to capture the moments as they come some times posing, sometimes just clicking away just as you are in front of me. Some of the best pictures come when nobody knew that I was taking a picture!
Using natural light I shoot on-location in the Kansas City area. I love to take pictures of people! Contact me for family pictures, seniors, babies, kids, couples or your special event.
What to expect for your Consultations?
Once your session has been scheduled I will contact you for a free consultation, this can be done over the phone, in person, or e-mail if desired. This is where we can go over your thoughts on what you want from the session, the location, clothing choice, and any additional unanswered questions, etc.
Payment
Non-refundable session fee is due within 5 day of scheduling your appointment. Appointments will not be considered book until session fee is received.
Scheduling a session
If your ready to schedule a session you can contact me by e-mail katrinacolemanphoto@gmail.com, you also give me a call at 913-961-4716. I am located in Kansas City area and make frequent trip to central Iowa for clients in that area.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
In the event of a cancellation you may reschedule 2 times (not including weather) for family emergencies and sick family members. After which your session fee will not be refunded.
At the time of scheduling the appoint I will take down a secondary date in case of bad weather.
What time of day do you have sessions?
Sessions are scheduled when the lighting is best, which is within the first 2-3 hours of sunlight in the morning or 2-3 hours before sunset.
When will my pictures be completed?
Your pictures will typically be completed within 3 weeks of completed session date. At which point they will be downloaded into a gallery for viewing.
Every session you will receive 3 files ready for you to post on blogs, Facebook, etc.
How many pictures will I be able to see?
Senior Gallery 50-60 images
Babies and children 20-30 images
Family 20-30 images
Mini 10-15 images
Clothing guidelines
Have fun but with the outfits! When picking out clothes for a group avoid being too matchy. You can use color families that work together well and mix it up with different patterns or shades.
When dressing for pictures try to avoid a lot of white or light colors because it tends to reflect light strongly.
When taking pictures of babies I love to have pictures of them just in a diaper to get all their cute baby rolls and fingers and toes, and a few favorite outfit as well.
Also something to consider when taking pictures of babies is not too many clothing changes, we all know how grumpy babies can get when they have to change their clothes too much.
And from babies to children be sure that whatever you choose for them to wear they are comfortable and happy in. A happy kid is a smiley kid ;)
Family sessions
Family photos are a special time to capture your family just the way you are to remember for generations. So when getting ready for a family photo I strongly suggest dressing in the same color family with accent pieces that compliment, avoiding strong patterns and logos. And bare feet are great for families too!
As I photographer I want everyone who looks are these pictures to see your beautiful family and your family to stand out in the picture not your clothes.
